Fire Fighting
In Singapore, our fire fighting tanks are primarily constructed using HDG (Hot Dip Galvanized) material, offering several key benefits:

Manufacturing Specifications
General Application: Water storage for air-conditioner make-up, fire fighting, and food production (with Food Grade Epoxy Coating).
Standards: Pressed steel sectional water tanks (rectangular) constructed with hydraulically pressed flanged panels conform to B.S. 1564 and hot dip galvanized to ISO 1461:2009.
Materials: Mild steel used in the plates, stays, cleats, and pads all conform to the requirements of BSEN10025:2004.
Tank Components:
- Panels: 1.22m x 1.22m or 1m x 1m square, hot dip galvanized to ISO 1461:1999.
- Covers: Hydraulically pressed 3.0mm / 1.5mm thick x 1.22m x 1.22m or 1m x 1m square, hot dip galvanized.
- Stays and Cleats: Made from mild steel and hot dip galvanized.
- Bolts and Nuts: Conform to B.S. 4190 and are hot dip galvanized.
Additional Features:
- Seismic (Earthquake): Up to 1.5G with external reinforcement.
- Joining Compounds: Non-toxic, odorless PVC Foam Sealant and butyl sealant or equivalent.
- Manhole and Vent: One 600mm square manhole and one 100mm diameter vent with insect-proof attachment per tank/compartment.
- Ladders: Hot dip galvanized for internal and external tank access (aluminum on request).
- Level Indicator: Mild steel or galvanized indirect reading level indicator available on request.
Tank Height Specifications (B.S. 1564: 1975 Revised):
- 4ft Height: Bottom, sides, and ends: 5mm
- 8ft Height: Bottom, sides, and ends: 5mm
- 12ft Height: Bottom, sides, and ends: 5mm
- 16ft Height: Bottom and first tiers of sides and ends: 6mm. Second, third, and top tiers: 5mm
