Magtech General Construction & Trading Pte Ltd carried out the supply and installation of a Hot-Dipped Galvanized (HDG) pressed steel water tank at 5 Loyang Drive, Singapore. This tank is designed for hose reel usage in a new-built development, supporting the building’s fire protection system.
The installed tank measures 2m (L) x 1m (W) x 1m (H), providing a compact and efficient solution for dedicated fire-fighting water storage. HDG pressed steel tanks are commonly used for hose reel systems due to their strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness, especially for smaller capacity requirements.
The tank panels are hot-dip galvanized to provide corrosion protection, ensuring long-term performance in Singapore’s humid and outdoor environments. This type of tank complies with relevant standards such as BS 1564, which governs the design and fabrication of pressed steel sectional water tanks.
Our scope included the full assembly and installation of the sectional tank, including base structure, side panels, roof cover, internal supports, and associated fittings required for hose reel operation. All works were carried out in accordance with safety requirements and industry best practices.
