Magtech General Construction & Trading Pte Ltd successfully completed the supply and installation of two (2) units of Hot-Dipped Galvanized (HDG) pressed steel water tanks for ARC Changi T5, Singapore. Completed in 2024, this project represents one of our key installations in recent years, supporting critical fire protection infrastructure for a major development.
Each tank measures 12m (L) x 9m (W) x 3m (H), providing large-capacity water storage to meet the operational demands of the sprinkler system. Due to the scale of the tanks and project requirements, careful planning and coordination were essential throughout the installation process.
A key challenge for this project was the strict timeline imposed, requiring efficient sequencing of works and close coordination on-site. Our team successfully managed the installation works and completed the project within the required timeframe, ensuring no delay to the overall construction schedule.
Our scope of work included the full assembly and installation of the sectional tanks, comprising the base structure, side panels, roof covers, internal tie-rod reinforcements, and all necessary fittings for integration with the fire protection system. Execution was carried out with a strong focus on safety, quality, and adherence to project requirements.
The HDG pressed steel tanks were designed and installed in accordance with SS22, ensuring compliance with Singapore standards for pressed steel sectional water tanks. The use of hot-dip galvanized panels provides excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability, making them well-suited for fire protection applications in Singapore’s environment.
This project highlights Magtech’s capability in delivering large-scale water tank installations under tight project timelines. With over 35 years of experience and more than 4,000 water tanks installed across Asia, we continue to provide reliable and efficient solutions for major infrastructure and industrial developments.
