Magtech General Construction & Trading Pte Ltd successfully completed the supply and installation of a Hot-Dipped Galvanized (HDG) pressed steel water tank at 188 Pandan Loop, Singapore. This tank is designed for sprinkler usage in a new-built development, supporting the building’s fire protection system.
The installed tank measures 7.32m (L) x 6.1m (W) x 2.44m (H), providing reliable water storage capacity to meet sprinkler system operational requirements. HDG pressed steel tanks are widely used in fire protection applications due to their structural strength, durability, and cost-effective performance.
The tank panels are hot-dip galvanized to provide enhanced corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term reliability in Singapore’s humid and outdoor conditions. This type of tank is designed in accordance with SS22, the Singapore Standard governing pressed steel sectional water tanks.
Our scope of work included the complete assembly and installation of the sectional tank, including base structure, side panels, roof cover, internal tie-rod reinforcements, and all necessary fittings for sprinkler system integration. All installation works were carried out by our experienced team in compliance with safety requirements and industry best practices.
Fire protection water storage must be planned around the required capacity, available footprint and connection arrangement for the sprinkler system. A sectional HDG tank can be configured for the project space and assembled directly at the site, making accurate setting-out and controlled panel installation essential.
