Magtech General Construction & Trading Pte Ltd successfully completed the replacement of four (4) water tanks at Changi Logistics Centre, Singapore for CapitaLand in 2025. This project involved a combination of Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) and Hot-Dipped Galvanized (HDG) sectional tanks, serving domestic, transfer, and hose-reel applications.

The installed tanks comprised the following sizes: (1+1)m x 3m x 1m (H), 7m x 3m x 1m (H), (4+6)m x 5m x 1m (H), and (1+1)m x 1m x 1m (H). As a full replacement project within an operational facility, careful coordination and planning were required to ensure continuity of water supply throughout the works.
A key challenge for this project was the requirement to minimise water disruption, while complying with CapitaLand’s strict internal operational and safety policies. Due to the existing piping configuration and lack of direct replacement feasibility, our team proposed and implemented a temporary tank and bypass system to maintain continuous water supply during the replacement process.
The works involved phased dismantling of existing tanks and installation of new sectional panel tanks, including base structures, panels, internal reinforcements, and all necessary fittings. The sequencing of works was carefully planned to integrate with the temporary system, ensuring smooth transition without impacting building operations.
This project highlights Magtech’s capability in handling complex 1-to-1 replacement works under strict operational constraints, particularly where continuous water supply is critical. With over 35 years of experience and more than 4,000 water tanks installed across Asia, we continue to deliver practical and reliable solutions for demanding project environments with our years of experience.
