This project involved the supply and installation of two (2) FRP/GRP sectional water tanks at Norodom Business Centre, a new-build development in Phnom Penh. The tanks were designed for make-up and domestic water usage, in compliance with SS245 requirements as specified by the project consultant.
The installed tank configurations are as follows:
- (3+3)m x 6m x 4m (H) c/w top sump
- (4+4)m x 8m x 4m (H)
Magtech was engaged by a well-known main contractor to deliver this scope, leveraging our experience with SS245-grade FRP tank systems. The project presented several challenges, particularly due to site constraints. One side of the tank location was positioned close to the building edge, resulting in a highly exposed working area. In addition, limited working space on one side of the tank required careful planning of installation methodology and sequencing.
To address these challenges, our Singapore-based technical and operations team worked closely to develop practical installation solutions, ensuring safe access, proper material handling, and efficient assembly despite the restricted conditions.
Our scope of work included the supply and installation of the FRP sectional tank systems, comprising the base structure, side panels, roof structure, internal reinforcements, and all necessary accessories.
Through proper coordination and execution, the installation was completed successfully, meeting both safety and quality requirements. The tanks are now fully installed and ready to support the building’s operational needs.
This project highlights Magtech’s capability in delivering FRP water tank supply and installation works for overseas developments, particularly in complex and space-constrained environments, while maintaining Singapore-standard quality and workmanship.
